2.3 Greenstone will make reasonable efforts to identify obvious problems with a supplied design, but the customer remains responsible for the suitability of the design for its intended purpose.

2.4 Greenstone reserves the right to decline an order where a design is technically unsuitable, unsafe, unlawful or outside our available equipment or capabilities.

3. CUSTOMER SUPPLIED DESIGNS

3.1 Customers supplying a 3D model or other design confirm that they have the right and permission to have the design reproduced.

3.2 The customer remains responsible for copyright, trademark, patent, licensing and other intellectual property rights relating to designs supplied by them.

4.2 Design and modelling work may be charged separately from printing.

4.3 Where a design requires multiple revisions, additional charges may apply.

4.4 The customer is responsible for approving the final design before production begins.

5. QUOTATIONS

5.1 Custom printing is quoted individually.

5.2 A quotation may take into account:

• Material used
• Print time
• Object size
• Design complexity
• Quantity
• Design or modelling work
• Finishing requirements
• Packaging
• Delivery

5.3 Quotations are based on the information available at the time of quoting.

5.4 If the customer changes the design, quantity, material, colour, dimensions or other requirements after receiving a quotation, the price may change.

5.5 A quotation is not an order until it has been accepted by the customer and any required payment or deposit has been received.

6. PAYMENT

6.1 Payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice.

6.2 Greenstone may require full payment or a deposit before production begins.

6.3 Production will not begin until the required payment has been received.

6.4 Additional work requested after production has started may result in additional charges.

7. CUSTOM ORDER CANCELLATIONS

7.1 Custom products are made specifically for the customer and cannot normally be cancelled once production has commenced.

7.2 If cancellation is requested before production begins, Greenstone will consider the request based on the circumstances of the order.

7.3 Costs already incurred for design, materials, preparation or other services may be deducted where legally permitted.

8. PRINT QUALITY

8.1 3D printing is a layer-by-layer manufacturing process.

8.2 Minor layer lines, support marks, small surface imperfections, slight dimensional variations and other characteristics associated with 3D printing may occur.

8.3 Such characteristics do not automatically constitute a defect.

8.4 Greenstone will make reasonable efforts to produce prints according to the agreed specifications.

8.5 If Greenstone identifies a manufacturing problem that results in a print not meeting the agreed specifications, Greenstone will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a suitable remedy.

9. MATERIAL SELECTION

9.1 Greenstone uses ELEGOO filament for its own 3D printing services.

9.2 The material selected for a print will depend on the intended use of the product.

9.3 Different materials have different properties relating to strength, flexibility, heat resistance, chemical resistance, appearance and durability.

9.4 Customers should inform Greenstone of any specific environmental, mechanical, temperature or other requirements before production begins.

9.5 Greenstone may recommend an alternative material where it considers the requested material unsuitable for the intended application.

10. FUNCTIONAL AND SAFETY CRITICAL PARTS

10.1 3D printed products may be used for functional applications, but their suitability depends on the design, material and intended use.

10.2 Unless specifically agreed in writing, Greenstone does not certify custom printed parts for safety-critical applications.

10.3 Customers remain responsible for ensuring that a printed component is suitable for its intended application.

10.4 Customers should not rely on a custom 3D printed component for applications where failure could reasonably result in serious injury, property damage or other significant loss unless the component has been appropriately engineered and tested for that purpose.

11. ELEGOO PRODUCTS

11.1 Greenstone supplies selected ELEGOO products, including 3D printers, filament and accessories.

11.2 Product availability, specifications, colours and pricing may change.

11.3 Manufacturer specifications may change from time to time.

11.5 Warranty periods differ between ELEGOO products and components. Customers should refer to the applicable warranty information for the specific product purchased.

12. ELEGOO FILAMENT

12.1 Greenstone sells ELEGOO filament separately and also uses ELEGOO filament in its own printing services.

12.2 Filament is a consumable product and should be stored and used according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

12.3 Moisture and unsuitable storage conditions can affect filament performance and print quality.

12.4 Customers are responsible for following the manufacturer's storage, handling and printing recommendations when using filament purchased from Greenstone.

12.5 Any complaint regarding defective filament will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with applicable consumer law and the manufacturer's applicable policies.

13.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or removes any rights the customer has under applicable South African consumer law.

13.2 Where goods supplied by Greenstone are defective, unsafe or fail to meet applicable legal requirements, the customer may have rights to repair, replacement or refund as provided by law.

13.3 Warranty claims may require the product to be assessed to determine the nature and cause of the problem.

13.4 Damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised modification, incorrect installation, accidental damage or use contrary to manufacturer's instructions may be treated differently from a manufacturing defect, subject to applicable law.

13.5 Greenstone will assist customers with applicable manufacturer warranty claims where appropriate.

14. RETURNS

14.1 Customers should contact Greenstone as soon as possible if they believe an item is defective or does not correspond with the agreed order.

14.2 Custom-made or personalised products cannot simply be returned because the customer has changed their mind, subject always to any rights provided by applicable consumer law.

14.3 No product should be returned without first contacting Greenstone and receiving return instructions.

14.4 Except in the case of a faulty or incorrectly supplied product, Greenstone does not cover the cost of return shipping.

14.5 Where a return is legally required, Greenstone will handle the matter in accordance with applicable law.

15. DELIVERY

15.1 Delivery options and costs will be confirmed at the time of ordering.

15.2 The customer is responsible for providing a correct delivery address and contact details.

15.3 Greenstone is not responsible for delays caused by third-party courier services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

15.4 Additional delivery charges may apply where an incorrect address or failed delivery results in additional courier costs.

16. COLLECTION

16.1 Customers will be notified when an order is ready for collection.

16.2 Collection times and arrangements will be agreed with the customer.

16.3 Customers should collect completed orders within a reasonable period.

17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

17.1 Customers retain ownership of designs and intellectual property that they lawfully provide to Greenstone.

17.2 Greenstone retains ownership of its own original designs, models, photographs, branding, website content and other intellectual property.

17.3 Greenstone will not knowingly use a customer's confidential design for another customer without permission.

18. PHOTOGRAPHS AND MARKETING

18.1 Greenstone may photograph completed products for quality control and record-keeping purposes.

18.2 Greenstone may use photographs of completed products for marketing purposes unless the customer has specifically requested that their product or design remain confidential.

19. PRODUCT USE

19.1 Customers are responsible for using products in accordance with their intended purpose and any applicable instructions.

19.2 Greenstone is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, modification, incorrect installation or use outside the intended application, subject to applicable consumer law.

20. FORCE MAJEURE

Greenstone will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including equipment failure, power interruptions, supplier shortages, courier disruptions, natural disasters, strikes, internet outages or other unforeseen events.

21. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Greenstone reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The Terms and Conditions applicable to an order will be those in effect when the order is accepted.

22. GOVERNING LAW
